Brain Science Network (written by Wang Aili) On September 26-29, 2024, the 17th National Academic Conference of the Chinese Society of Neuroscience (CNS2024) was held at the Suzhou International Expo Center. Researcher Sun Zuodong, President of the Heilongjiang Asia Europe Neuroscience Research Institute, was invited to participate in this grand event. This conference is the largest academic conference in the field of neuroscience in China. A total of 18 academicians, including academicians of the CAS Member, CAE Member, the American Academy of Sciences, the European Academy of Sciences, and the Royal Canadian Academy of Sciences, 125 foreign experts, 36 experts from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, and a total of about 4000 participants were invited to attend the conference, involving the development status of neuroscience, the integration of production and learning of brain science, the combination of neurosurgery foundation and clinical, brain computer interface and artificial intelligence special sessions and other characteristic activities.

Speech by Academician Zhang Xu, Chairman of the Society

The Theory of Dove Like Particles, submitted by researcher Sun Zuodong to the conference, is a discussion on the causes, treatment principles, and methods of sporadic Alzheimer's disease. He had in-depth exchanges with colleagues at home and abroad on this topic, and shared the core academic viewpoint of the "Theory of Dove Like Particles": β - amyloid protein is not the cause of Alzheimer's disease, but the remains of abnormal apoptosis of brain cells, and amyloid plaques are formed by the aggregation of amyloid plaques through van der Waals forces and electrostatic attraction; The process of spot and plaque aggregation is like pearls or corals, and physical methods should be the preferred treatment for neurodegenerative diseases.

Since 1984, when β - amyloid protein was purified and isolated from senile plaques, the A β hypothesis has dominated the direction of mainstream neuroscientists worldwide for 35 years. The work based on the A β hypothesis has been extremely difficult, and has even been stagnant for a long time. In 2022, the international authoritative journal "Science" released an investigation report, pointing out that experimental papers on the A β hypothesis were suspected of fraud. Scholars believe that the A β hypothesis has misled researchers for at least 16 years. During the exchange, the attending experts believed that neuroscientists should seek breakthroughs and achievements from a new strategic and academic perspective. They evaluated Sun Zuodong's "Theory of Dove Like Particles" as a new perspective that deciphered the "mystery" of Alzheimer's disease, overturned the A β hypothesis proposed in the "pioneering literature" of Alzheimer's disease, and showed a bright future in solving the thorny problems of Alzheimer's disease.

Through several days of meetings, Researcher Sun Zuodong has gained a deep understanding. He said, "This academic conference has allowed me to exchange and learn from experts and scholars in the field of neuroscience from around the world, sharing the most cutting-edge theoretical viewpoints and advanced application methods. I have benefited greatly. I would like to express my special thanks to the encouragement and recognition from the Chinese Society of Neuroscience, especially when I participated in the 'Tan Jiazhen Life Science Achievement Award' in June 2024. The society's recommendation has strengthened my determination to continuously research and move forward in the field of neuroscience.

At this conference, it was learned that Sun Zuodong has been invited to participate in the 2024 World Life Science Conference to be held from October 19th to 21st at the Boao International Convention Center in Qionghai City, Hainan Province. Researcher Sun Zuodong has officially submitted four papers to the conference, including the potassium ion channel "origami windmill" and related theories based on the potassium ion channel "origami windmill": 1 Potassium channel Origami windmill Model;2. Interpretation of Action Potential Generation Mechanism in Cells by Potassium Channel "Origami Windmill" Model3. Conservation Law of Cell Bioelectricity Membrane Area and Ion Inequality Equation Based on Potassium Channel "Origami Windmill" Model;4. Discovering and Providing the Neurons Can Generate Electromagnetic Waves Based on the Potassium Channel "Origami Windmill" Model.
